Central Coast company McRaes Gardens recently installed Three X vehicle tracking units into 6 of their utes.
Early start times are vital to minimise traffic delays on the busy Newcastle to Sydney freeway run. Managing Director Don McRae identified that his team must leave the depot by 6.20am, departure after this time has a dramatic effect on travel time and this causes a knock on effect throughout the day, as staff keep to their schedule.
Using the information generated by the system staff can now clearly see the impact that delays have on their working day and late departures are a thing of the past. The savings identified by this parameter alone have already outweighed the cost of the tracking.
One of the goals is to use the information to increase operational efficencies and find the time to schedule an additional job, per team, every day.
